While working with John Cagle, lead investigator in the abduction and murder of Meredith Hope Emerson, his focus was to paint a realistic picture of everything he learned. With a heavy heart, he describes this tragic tale in great detail. It was important to create a scene on the cover that depicts the foggy January morning when Gary Hilton spotted his latest victim while she was hiking with her dog in the North Georiga mountins.
