Daily Inspiration

While working with Mary Roach on her cover design, I asked her about what inspires her. She talked passionately about hawks and owls and shared the feather collection that she has gathered over the years. I asked her to scan and send me these real feathers from her menagerie, which I then used to create a design that was uniquely hers while also appealing to her target audience.
